Hi, I have had issues with installing davinci-resolve for a day now, but I have cleared that up with these resources (Might be useful for other people):
- https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Unoffi … positories .
-One of the pinned comments @ https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/qt5-webengine.
-Davinci-resolve-checker( https://github.com/Ashark/davinci-resolve-checker ).
However, even with davinci-resolve compiled and installed. I still had start up issues. So, I tried some things:
-Installed the log4cxx package.
-Used and didn't use QT_QPA_PLATFORM='wayland;xcb', QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb, QT_QPA_PLATFORM=wayland
-Ran as root/local user/sudo.
-Updated standard and AUR packages.
-Recompiled/reinstalled the AUR dependencies.
-Clearing cache/config files and recompiling/reinstalling.
-"Welcome" cache @ ~/.cache/DaVinci_Resolve_Welcome/qmlcache
-Config files @ ~/.local/share/DavinciResolve/*
-(Deleting the config files allows for the welcome message to appear again, even though the actual application has already crashed. Not sure if that's helpful for any one else, but maybe.).
I am not sure what information would help but looking through other forums for stuff to provide, I came up with this(additionally, no logs are generated):

I still had start up issues.
What "startup issues"?

and the provided output of

doesn't indicate any critical failure either.

I apologize for being vague.
By startup issues, I what I specifically mean, is the same output as before after recompiling/reinstalling:

No, it has a similar response as before, but now there are generated log files (correct me if I'm wrong) @ ~/.local/share/DaVinciResolve/logs/ResolveDebug.txt .

I have been looking through forum posts again, and looking for things to try/experiment with.
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=312597
In a recent post, I have almost verbatim the same problem, running:
/opt/resolve/bin/resolve --list-gpus
yields a similar result to that post.

================================However, Davinci Resolve runs in the background under the status of "sleeping" according to BTOP. I am not sure what that means.

This doesn't seem even to arrive at Qt, please see the wiki and then post the backtrace of the coredump

Revisiting the forum again, finding new/old posts.
-I came across this post with a similar/exact issue with the solution linking back through different forums to this comment on the AUR package site for davinci-resolve-studio.
In hindsight and stupidity, I should have tried downgrading the graphics drivers or something else and fully checked the package comments, but I thought it was a non-issue due to davinci-resolve-checker giving the go ahead.
But after downgrading(courtesy of this comment):
