1st off: yes, I'm fully aware that bluetooth will always add audio latency and isnt recommended for games, but it should be enough for my usecase and want some help.
So (almost) the only game I play on my pc is stepmania, have been playing connected to a tv via HDMI from an usb-c dock. For christmas I got some Space Travel 2 earbuds which feature a low latency mode for games, so I thought I could just connect them, set the new global timing offset on the game and just play.
The thing is that after I play some songs (some times 5 or 6, some times only 1) the sync goes completely off the rails and I have to reset the offset again. Happens using both SBC and AAC codecs, also this is not a skill issue, you'll have to trust me on this one.
What can be the cause for this and how can I prevent it? After googling around a bit, the theory I have is that the AVDTP delay reporting is kicking in since stepmania (or itgmania, which is the fork I'm currently using) relies on FFMPEG for a bunch of stuff, but no real clue if this is the case.
