OS got "reseted" (?), lost all my files

so I don't know what happened, Brave Browser got "code error: 5", no tab was loading, so i tried to restart my laptop but i had unsaved Kwrite files opened, so i saved them, but apparently the "restart backend processes" was running (i assume, as some can tell i may not have the correct vocabulary for it), after saving it didn't restarted

i don't know if i tried to either shut down or restart twice, but it didnt worked, after some brief time it finally did: shut it down, turned it on and suddenly the "Welcome" tab plus the white theme was what appeared

idk why but i still have all the apps installed, and both profiles, but settings where the default ones and my saved files were not found - i really spend some time on some KWrite files: copy and paste texts for my job, any thoughts?

im on Firefox now, really enjoyed Brave on Windows, is there some concern on using it on Linux? i intalled it again after the incident but tabs are still not loading, i dont feel like re-installing Arch or any OS but we'll see // got most my file on Drive but not these KWrite ones

Updated Linux and Brave is working

edit: this wasnt my first "pacman -Syu" after the incident
