This is a followup/new thread from yesterday's post, to which OP's issue was resolved. Mine is probably not kernel-related hence the new thread. Thanks for everyone involved there.

After yesterday's update my speaker audio stopped working on my Asus Zenbook 14 UM425.
Up until now pavucontrol showed Dummy audio for playback, now after downgrading several packages I don't even have the dummy audio shown up right now.
Interestingly I have "Play HiFi quality Music (unplugged) (unavailable)" for the Renoir/Cezanne HDMI/DP Audio Controller shown in pavucontrol. I don't remember if this was the device name for my speakers or not.
I have tried downgrading to the previous versions prior to the update
